Lumps & Bumps
One of the most common conditions that cause lumps, bumps or swelling are cysts. Some common cysts include Baker’s cysts, a fluid-filled bulge that forms behind the knee and ganglion cysts, rounded lumps filled with a jelly-like fluid that can develop on tendons and joints.
Most people get lumps and growths on their skin at some point. They can be caused by many things.
They can:
- be soft or hard to touch
- move around
- be the size of a pea or a golf ball
- be a lump under the skin or a growth that hangs off your skin

A number of self-pay packages and privately insured patients can avail of this service most of which are no longer available on the NHS.
